Fall is the best season to take in beautiful views of the Ottawa region.
Late September and early October are the best times to see the leaves change, and in Calabogie, with vast amounts of mountains and hills, surrounded by nature, there is no shortage of breathtaking views.
Without further ado, here are our favourite hikes in the Calabogie region for fall and the beer we'd love to pair them with!
1. Manitou Mountain Trail
Length: 9.8 KM
Duration: Approx 3.5 hours
This hike is long and elevated, you'll want something big and bold after you finish, you earned it! When you stop into the Calabogie patio after your hike, ask your server for the Bogie West Coast IPA.
2. Eagle's Nest Trail
Length: 2.7 KM,
Duration: Approx 1 hour
Eagle's Nest is a popular hike in the area, frequented by friends, families, dogs and ATVs. It's a relatively short and easy hike, with beautiful sweeping views. Ask your server for a glass of the Portage Pilsner.
3. Calabogie Peaks Skywalk Trail
Length: 5.0KM
Duration: Approx 2 hours
The Skywalk trail offers sweeping vistas of Calabogie lake and the beautiful changing leaves to remind us of fall. Get those warm cozy vibes on the patio afterwards with our malt-forward K&P 1883 Amber Ale.
4. Sugar Mountain Trail
Length: 4.0KM
Duration: 1 hour, 20 minutes
Pair it with the Front Porch Kolsch
A short but beautiful trail (that can be made longer, as it connects to lots of other lakes in the area) pair this easy and beautiful hike with the refreshing Front Porch Kolsch on the Calabogie Brewery patio.
5. Centennial Lake Nature Reserve
Length: 7KM
Duration: Approx 2.5 hours
Pair with Brown Cow Milk Stout
Long, easy, not too mountainous. This hike is within a nature reserve, so you'll want ask your server to pair it with something as easy and smooth as our Brown Cow Milk Stout.
